Gabriel García Márquez, awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1982

Gabriel García Márquez was a Colombian novelist, short-story writer, screenwriter and journalist. Considered one of the most significant authors of the 20th century, he is noted for popularizing the literary style known as  magic realism.
