Start: 2:00 pm

Join us for an afternoon of readings and discussion with local authors Julie Golden, author of Vagilantes, and Lila Sophia and David Tresemer, authors of One Two One, Don't Go Back to Sleep, and The Venus Eclipse of the Sun.

This is a FREE event, open to all!

About Vagilantes:
Rayanne kills a pedophile—at least she thinks she did, until someone else confesses to the murder. Four Boulder women are drawn into Rayanne’s drama. Their attempts to save this damaged soul are sidetracked by the death of another pedophile, then another. Still questioning if murder is ever justifiable, they learn they are not alone in finding answers outside the law.

About One Two One:
The authors have been celebrants for weddings, and decided to write down what they had taught couples about healthy relationships. Many illustrations help to lead couples through a process that can be profound and satisfying, though often isn’t.

About Don't Go Back to Sleep: A Novel:
“Exceptionally written, Don’t Go Back To Sleep portrays vivid characters with deep psychologies and sensibilities. The story engages through real individuals confronting urgent and historical situations, discovering and learning together the new-ancient wisdom ways of how to be alive in the world.”~Bob Richards, Social/Spiritual Entrepreneur

About The Venus Eclipse of the Sun 2012:
Is December 21, 2012, the end of the world, as some have claimed? No. All that talk has obscured an actual rare celestial event in June 2012—Venus eclipsing the Sun. This book explores the mythic meaning of Venus, of eclipse, and of the degree in the heavens where this occurs—a location that will increase the allure and dangers of technology.

Ernest Cline will speak about and sign his new book, Ready Player One, on Tuesday, June 12th at 7:30pm.

About the book:
In Ernest Cline’s bestselling novel Ready Player One, the year is 2044, and the real world is an ugly place. Like most of humanity, Wade Watts escapes by spending his waking hours jacked into the OASIS, a virtual utopia that lets you be anything you want to be, a place where you can live and play and fall in love on any of ten thousand planets. And like most of humanity, Wade dreams of being the one to discover the ultimate lottery ticket that lies concealed within this virtual world. When Wade stumbles upon the first puzzle, he may have to face up to life—and love—in the real world.

Start: 7:30 pm

Terry Tempest Williams will speak about and sign her new book, When Women Were Birds, on Wednesday, June 13th at 7:30pm.

About the book:
Terry Tempest Williams’s mother told her: “I am leaving you all my journals, but you must promise me you won’t look at them until after I’m gone.” Readers of Williams’s memoir, Refuge, well remember that mother, who developed cancer as a result of nuclear testing. It was a shock to Williams to discover that her mother had kept journals. But not as much of a shock as what she found when she read them. In 54 chapters, Williams creates a lyrical meditation of the mystery of her mother's journals. When Women Were Birds is a kaleidoscope that keeps turning around the question “What does it mean to have a voice?”
